Readers sometimes confuse book reviews with book reports, but the two are not identical. Book reports commonly describe what happens in a work; their focus is primarily on giving an account of the major plot, characters, and/or main idea of the work. Most often, book reports are a K-12 assignment and range from 250 to 500 words. If you are looking to write a book report, please see the OWL resource, Writing a Book Report.
Note that this site was launched in June 2002 and we have only a few books released in the months before that time. Reviews for books older than that won't be found on this site. It's not possible to include every newly released book on this site. The minimum requirement is that any book has to have three reviews in major online media web sites and then it's a completely subjective process as to which books get added to this site. Some of the books we choose are popular, others are literary, and some are a bit out of the ordinary, but intriguing to us. We're always interested in books our visitors suggest, so if there's a recent book that you'd like to see added to the site, send us an e-mail at . If you're interested in having your own book added or reviewed on this site, please see our . Be aware that many of the links we add to reviews on other web sites often go stale as they're either deleted or moved to an archive on those sites. We're constantly testing links to find these dead links, but if you encounter one, or find any type of error on this site, please send a quick e-mail to .
Reviews of Books - Book Reviews
Rave Reviews Book Club is a virtual book club made up of authors and readers. The reviews of the Book Club members are not necessarily the same as the reviews of the author, Nonnie Jules, and vice versa. We encourage each of you to join, especially if you are an author, as we expect that the books we select to propel the careers and sales of authors. The more members of the club, the more successful and stronger our collective voices will be. For more info on the club, please visit our page.
