Occasionally, I am approached by publishers or authors to review books. If I think they are suitable for the typical visitor to PhilosophyOnline, then I'll add them to the list. I usually have a large backlog of books to get through, so if you are an author/publisher with a book you'd like me to review, you're welcome to contact me, but bear in mind that it may take me some time to get to it. Sometimes I also review useful or interesting books that I come across in the course of my general reading, or highlight some of my favourite books. Mostly these are philosophical, but others may be fiction or non-fiction that has some philosophical interest. It's a mixed bag. Generally, I try to highlight what's good about a book, if I can, and so if there's nothing positive that I can say then I tend not to review it. A full list of my reviews can be found on , but the more recent ones are listed on the left.
Due to the high demand for books on book review list we have to limit the number of reviews. Each ACUNS member is welcome to request and review up to 2 books per year, while each non-member is welcome to request and review 1 book per year.
